Portrex Affiliate Program terms
These are the program terms we use to accept affiliates and pay referral bounties. They are the source of truth for this page.
What this program is
The Portrex Affiliate Program pays a one-time bounty for a warm introduction to a residential home-services company. It is not a pay-per-click or link-tracking program. Affiliates do not need to sell Portrex. You are an independent contractor, not an employee, agent or partner of Portrex, and you cannot sign anything or make promises for Portrex.
How to introduce a company
An affiliate introduces a company by submitting the referral registration form or by sending an intro email that CCs partners@portrex.io. Portrex confirms acceptance within 5 business days. The earliest registration wins. Companies already in the Portrex CRM are excluded.
What you earn
An affiliate earns $1,500 per referred company that subscribes at the minimum package (20 users, $4,000/month, first month free) and completes 3 months (1 free + 2 paid, all invoices paid). The bounty rises to $2,000 per referral once an affiliate has 3 or more qualified referrals in a calendar year. The bounty is paid only for a company's subscription to Portrex software. Portrex does not pay for clicks, leads, sign-ups or trials.
When we pay
Portrex pays by ACH within 30 days after the month the 3-month period completes. Portrex does not pay if the referred company cancels, does not pay its invoices, or is refunded or charged back. Portrex may hold or reverse a payment that came from a breach of these terms, fraud or a self-referral.
Taxes
A completed IRS Form W-9 is required before the first payment. You are responsible for your own taxes. Portrex may file a Form 1099-NEC with the IRS and send you a copy when the law requires it, and may apply backup withholding if the law requires it.
Tell people you may be paid
When you introduce a company or recommend Portrex in any way, tell them clearly and close to the recommendation that you may earn a referral fee if they become a Portrex customer. This follows the FTC Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255). Use plain words, such as "I may be paid if you sign up." Say only what is true. Do not state results, savings, earnings or features that Portrex has not published. Portrex may review how you promote Portrex, and may stop payments or end your participation if you do not follow this section.
Your own outreach
You are responsible for how you contact people. Do not send spam. Follow the TCPA, the National Do Not Call Registry, the CAN-SPAM Act and state telemarketing and email laws. Do not use autodialers or prerecorded or artificial voice calls, and do not send text messages without the recipient's consent. Do not buy or scrape contact lists. Identify yourself, honor every opt-out at once, and include a postal address in commercial email. Portrex gives you no contact list or script, and does not send messages for you. Portrex may reject a referral that came from a breach of this section.
Contractor and consumer rules
The bounty is for software subscriptions. It is paid only when a company you introduced subscribes to Portrex software. You do not refer homeowners or home-improvement jobs under this program, and nothing in it is a fee for inducing a home-improvement contract. You may not accept money under this program for referring consumers to any contractor. You may not offer, price, arrange or advertise construction or home-improvement work for anyone, and you may not describe yourself as a licensed contractor unless you hold the licence. Some states regulate referral fees and contractor advertising. For example, California treats a referral fee paid to induce a home-improvement contract as an unlawful inducement (Business and Professions Code section 7157). You are responsible for following the law that applies to you. Portrex does not pay where the law forbids it.
Attribution and term
Accepted referrals have a 180-day attribution window from acceptance. There are no minimums. The program is non-exclusive.
Ending the agreement
Either side can leave on 30 days' notice. Portrex may end your participation at once if you breach these terms, mislead people, spam, or harm the Portrex brand. After the agreement ends, Portrex still pays bounties for referrals that qualified before the end date, unless the end was for breach or fraud. Questions or notices go to partners@portrex.io.
Who may participate
Individuals and companies may apply. You may not refer your own company. Portrex may accept or decline any application.
Changes to these terms
Portrex may change these terms. When it does, it posts the new version here and asks you to accept it again in your affiliate portal. A change does not reduce a bounty for a referral that Portrex accepted before the change.
